An easing of Covid-related supply chain disruptions that we were observing last February is underway. New Covid-related supply disruptions, however, have erupted in China, where, in an effort to stop the spread of Covid while developing new vaccines, building hospital capacity, and vaccinating its older population, authorities have had cities such as Shanghai partially or fully shut down since April 1 (for 55 days).
