Tanto en estrategia de negocios como para visualizar diferentes escenarios futuros, TransEconomics es asesorada por el ex Subgobernador del Banco de México Guillermo Güémez García; el socio de Pablo Rión y Asociados Martin Plettner; el profesor de Asuntos Internacionales Jenik Radon; y la presidente de Quest Management, Mary A. West.


Guillermo Güémez Gárcia


El Ingeniero Guillermo Güémez es egresado de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, donde estudió la carrera de Ingeniería Civil, recibiéndose con Mención Honorifica. Posteriormente, ingresó a la Universidad de Stanford en California, Estados Unidos, donde obtuvo el grado de Maestro en Ciencias.

Inició su carrera profesional en la empresa Constructora Industrial, colaborando más tarde en Cementos Guadalajara S.A. como Gerente Financiero y Tesorero. Posteriormente ingresó a la oficina en México de Bank of América.

Jenik Radon


Jenik Radon is Adjunct Professor at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). Radon is a recipient of SIPA's "Top Five" teaching award for his work during the spring 2010 semester. Radon is the founder/director of the Eesti and Eurasian Public Service Fellowship, which gives Columbia and other students the opportunity to intern in Estonia, Georgia, Kenya, Uganda and Nepal. Radon was a lecturer at Stanford University, where he taught access to medicine, human rights and privatization at its law school and international investment management at its Graduate School of Business. Martin Plettner


Mr. Plettner is a partner at the investment banking firm of Pablo Rión y Asociados, where he has over 10 years of experience and has participated in over 60 transactions including sales processes, acquisitions, debt and equity raisings (both private and public), restructurings, valuations of diverse assets as well as damages, among others. Prior to joining the firm in 2002, Mr. Plettner worked for 3 years as manager of Publix, S.A., a graphic design studio, and Star Technologies, S.A., a company active in the design of information systems, businesses he founded in 1996 and 1997, respectively. Previously, Mr. Plettner worked as a trainee in brand management at Procter & Gamble Mexico, and during the summer of 2001, Mr. Plettner worked as a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.

Mr. Plettner holds a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Mary A. West


Mary West is the founder and President of Quest Management, LLC, based in the southwest United States. She provides the full range of executive management services that accelerate results for domestic and international businesses in for profit, non-profit and federally-recognized tribal government sectors. Mary has provided her leadership and advisory services to firms in the hospitality, information technology, packaging, medical, archaeological, planning and engineering, communications, training and economic advisory industries. In addition, Mary has worked for two international fortune 100 companies to implement innovative restructuring in their operations and management systems, performance measurement, internal processes, conversion to virtual teams, and ISO quality management systems; resulting in significantly improved performance for all key performance measures.

Mary obtained her degree in Business Management and French Language and Literature from St. Catherine University, St. Paul, MN.

Oscar Ortiz


Oscar Ortiz is currently a Director at Unifin Financiera, where he is responsible for structuring and delivering leasing solutions to corporate clients in Mexico. He has held senior management positions in financial services companies including Multivalores, GE Capital, Bank Boston, and HSBC. He has been responsible for tailoring wealth management products and services, corporate and investment banking products, and investments and insurance products for individuals and corporate clients in Mexico and USA.

Oscar holds a JD degree from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico and an MBA from Instituto Panamericano en Alta Dirección de Empresas (IPADE) and the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.

David Maya


David Maya es el CFO de Grupo Mexplus Puertos, en donde también es miembro del Consejo de Administración, Comité Directivo y Comité de Auditoría. Sus tres décadas de experiencia como ejecutivo financiero en la industria mexicana incluyen puestos en Pemex, la Canacintra, Grupo APOL y Fisomex. Ha sido también catedrático en la Universidad Metropolitana y la Universidad Tecnológica de México. Es miembro fundador del Consejo Mexicano de Comercio Exterior (COMCE) Tamaulipas y miembro del Comité de Planeación del Puerto Altamira (API) y del Instituto Mexicano de Ejecutivos de Finanzas (IMEF).

David Maya es Maestro en Negocios por el Tecnológico de Monterrey y Licenciado en Administración por la Universidad Metropolitana.
